After doing a full and complete backup (including registry) on an NT 4.0 server (SP 5) which has 1 disk split into 2 partitions (a c: and a d: drive), I restored to a new disk. I did a proper restoration one partition at a time and upon boot up everything worked fine. Workstations logged in and all programs worked and passed testing EXCEPT for Microsoft Exchange. Mail is down. Has anyone seen this and know how to fix it? The name of the server is EXCHANGE. Here is the error message I get when trying to start the Microsoft Exchange Administrator:
"A connection could not be made to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer 'EXCHANGE'. The Microsoft Exchange Server computer does not respond. Microsoft Exchange directory ID: no DS_E_COMMUNICATIONS_PROBLEM."
