I have this irritating problem, when node-1 on the cluster failovers to node-2 users receive mail again (marked unread) that they deleted 3 days previous to the fail over.

I am wondering if there is some kind of time setting I must change to stop this happening.

Any help on this matter would be mush appreciated.
Thanks Steve

That's is way too funny. It's a joke, right?

Your SMTP directory is on a local drive on each node. When you failover, mail in the smtp queue is "stranded" until you fail back, and the process repeats on the opposite node.

The answer to your problem is to put the smtp directory on a shared disk and copy the content of the smtp dir on each node to the new, shared, location.
