Your system is bouncing my e-mails. And it seems that APEX is the only people I've written to in weeks that has been dong this. You may want to get you mail system admins to re-think bouncing DUL senders... it is not a very much favored way to handle SPAM... it raises hob with folks running their own SMTP server from within thier ISP... as am I."

Someone sent this email to one of my employees today and I have no idea what this guy is talking about. Any ideas or suggestions??

A DUL is a Dial-up users list. This is a list of users that send mail via a dynamic IP address (dial-up or broadband). There are ways that the sender can get around this by using their ISP mail servers to send emails, or using a static IP address. Alternatively, you could modify your mail server so that it does not use the MAPS DUL database.

You can read more about the MAPS DUL database here:

Ben.

How can I modify my server so that it doesn't block DUL users?

just my thoughts...

it looks like he is using the website "pobox.com" as a third party email forwarding or something. i have never heard of the site and am not sure if that is what is causing his emails to be blocked. emails go through that site, it filters out spam, then forwards emails on to the desired email addresses. could that filtering be what is showing up as spam?

It's definately possible that pobox.com are using the MAPS DUL database in an effort to help reduce spam. You may want to contact them and describe the issue that you are facing.

Is there anything that I can do or check on my end to make sure that it isn't me before I call pobox.com and talk to them?
