Performance problems with backing up an remote Exchange Server - directory and information store - no bricklevel.
Further tests showed that the performance of the backup job is slowing down between 5 p.m. and 7 .a.m.
During working hours, i.e. 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the performance is quite good. On daytime at the weekend, when no user is logged in, the performance is bad as well.
This means that safety times are ok if the server is busy but performance is not acceptable when there is no other work for the server to do.
System Environment:
Exchange Server:
NT 4 SP5
Exchange 5.5 Sp3
Arcserve Exchange Agent SP2a
Arcserve Server:
NT4 SP5
Arcserve 6.61 build 834 SP2a
