While backing up, my message box states:

Wed 08:17:36 PM (server name):<9> MSEXCH:IS continuing save 2000 MB

There are several entries increasing in number as stated in the <9> above. Does this mean that Networker backs up the Information Store in 2000 MB segments until it completes?

Hi!

Yes! If the job complets successfully.
Check the size of the exchange database to check size.

The backup job is completing with no problems or errors. What do you mean by it's not proper?

Thanks.

Sorry for my poor english ;-)

What I wanted to say is that Networker use this backup method for any kind of data, not only for Exchange backups.

Bye.

No problem. I just thought it was weird. It only reports this method while backing up the Exchange IS. Thanks again.

All Networker used to work in 2000Mb chunks prior to version 6.
It still seems to be a hang-over on some BSMs.
Have a look at later versoins of hte BSM (the documents on them) and it may have gone from those too.
