Hi,
I'm running Win2000 network. We have Exchange 2000 and backup server with Veritas Backup Exec. On the backup server I installed Exchange 2000 Server Agent, Open File Options. On the Exchange 2000 BackupExecAgentAccelerator (Remote Agent) is running.
It seams though, that backup of the Exchange is running much-much slower than backup of other servers, wich also run BackupExecAgentAccelerator.
Is there anything else I need to install on the Exchange 2000? When I ran installation of the remote agents, it didn't give me option of installing Exchange 2000 Server Agent on the Exchange server itself, just on the backup server.
Please, help. Thank you,

Clair

I can imagine backing up Exchange over the network being terribly slow, it takes its time locally, what sort of time is it taking over the network and how much data have you got?

Cheers

It's quite normal if you're backing up mail boxes. I get about 70-80MB/min on mail boxes vs 350-400MB/min on regular files. It needs to extract mail boxes from edb files from my understanding.
