Exchange Backup Failure

We currently run ARCserve to backup our servers. After a server crash due to our mailbox space being exceeded on Friday, the backup is now failing with:

Failed to read from database. (DBNAME=First Storage Group, EC=EXCHANGE2K3:Backup Agent Error -- (69) "Read/Write error in named pipes.".)

Since I'm still fairly new to ARCserve and Exchange2k3, any observations would be appreciated.
