I have two exchange 2003 servers in separate domains. I would like to use them as backup mx servers for each other. Can anyone help me with this idea and how to implement it? Thanks in advance.

In that case, they would both need to be configured to handle both domains.
All users from domain1 should also reside on domain2 and vice versa.
So I don't know if that is such agood idea (except maybe for a very small amount of users)

In case of doamin2 down, you need to redirect that MX to the IP from domain1, and vice versa.

But, again, that is NOT how you would make a 'redundant' server!
