I have an exchange server and need to set it to recieve smtp mail from two domains hosted by different ISP's and hence different mail servers to connect to at their end.

Can you help.

we are using NT4 sp6 and exchange 5.5

as long as your user accounts have SMTP addresses reflecting at least one of the domains, it shouldn't be a problem!!

Your ISP will have MX records setup to point to your firewall for both domains. In your IMS you will need to make sure you have inbound routes for the two domains.

I think thats it!! Good luck.

What if you need to receive mail and send it to the seperate Domains through a single internet connection? The Domains cannot trust each other....

in that case, go into the IMS routing tab and enter a domain name and the domain to reroute to.

Can anyone expand on this or offer an article explaining how to do this. I too need to host multiple emails from seperate domains. I understand about the MX record and that has been added at my ISP's DNS servers. What I need is an article that points me in the right direction to enable it on my exchange server.

Thanks
