Guys can anyone forward me a link describing in detail how to configure POP3 on Exchange and the client for it. I want to connect from the internet and not dial in into the network.

Regards

Try this
Through Exchange administrator click configuration/connections, open your connections properties, click the routing tab and ensure that the
Reroute incoming SMTP mail radial button is selected, add your domain names to the routing table to ensure that they are routed inbound.
In your email application setup, add the server IP (assuming it is external) to the POP3 and SMTP fields and this should then work ok
