Exchange and BE 7.3? Fails on Verify too!!

I am trying to backup my PDC from my BDC.I have Exchange 5.5 loaded on both machines for directory replication.My primary Exchange server is on the PDC. When I try to check the Exchange Agent it is greyed out and I can't select it. It always fails on verify with no errors on the log file except "Job Completion Status: Failed"Any help would be great...
Veritas Backup Exec 7.3, NT4 SP6a, Exch. 5.5SP4

To back up another server you need BE Enterprise Edition.
