I have a scenario which I'd like to run past people and see if anyone else has had the same problem.
I'm upgrading my NT4/5.5 Environment to 2K, I have a created a root domain (test.com) and have setup my ADC to get the user & public folder information from other Exchange 5.5 servers in other NT domains. This has been set to add the users and groups to an OU in the test.com domain called Legagcy.
All this is fine and works OK, what I am wondering is that when I upgrade my other NT4 domains as child domains (i.e. subdomain.test.com) the user accounts will exist in that domain as well as test.com (albeit disabled) and both accounts will point to a mailbox on the us.test.com mail server. Therefore the GC will have 2 entries.
I cannot delete the disabled user in the root domain as it wants to delete the mailbox in the child domain.
Has anyone else discovered this and is this what the Cleanup Wizard is for? If so does this cross domains?
