Exchange Agent for Backup Exec

I purchased the agent for exchange and it's installed correctly but I was just wondering if someone could give me insight to what exactly the agent backs up. I have 4 options to choose from on the exchange tab when I edit the job and it's set to Full Database & Logs (flush committed logs). I thought this agent would back up the .EDB and .DAT files that get skipped evertime due to being in use. What excactly does this agent do? Thanks

The backup exchange agent allow you to go into the exchange database and backup mailboxes. It also makes backup exec exchange "aware" so the the database transaction logs can be cleaned up and committed to the db. Craig
