hello,
We are currently attempting to set up an Exchange test server that would contain restored copies of the existing server's Public and Private Message Stores. We want this test server so we can try out some of the database repair utils.
We set up Exchange 5.5 on a test server with a new name but with the same site and organization name as the current server.
We then restored from our legato backups, the priv.edb and pub.edb files.
After that, we ran isinteg -fix on the priv and pub. After that , isinteg -patch
However, when trying to start the information store, we get this error message (event id 1089) in Event Viewer:
"The information store was not started because the system distinguished name (DN of /o=Organization/ou=NY/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=GEORGE/cn=Microsoft Private MDB in the mailboxes table could not be found. The database may have been restored to a computer that does not contain the original database. Run ISINTEG -patch before attempting to start the information store again."
GEORGE is the name of our test server but the o and ou is the same.
Any advice would be great. Thanks!
