I have just moved my Exchange 5.5 Info Store from one server to another. Every service comes up fine. I can send mail to the internet but cannot recieve it from the outside. (I can send and receive mail from the inside okay). Its like my SMTP connection on the inside is messed up. SMTP service is running.

When I try to use SMTP via telnet, I can logon but when I do "helo email@domain.com" I get an error 501 invalide address. I imagine this is part of my problem.

Any ideas anyone?

Is your DNS-record of your mail-server set to the ip-address of the new server? When it still points to the old ip you could get this behavior.

Check that your default gateway is right on your TCP/IP settings

It actually had to do with Trend Micro's VirusWall for Exchange. It wants to grab the SMTP port for filtering. Once I disabled the MS SMTP service everything started working fine. Thanks.
