EXCHANGE 5.5 setup on a Win2000 server

While attempting to install exchange 5.5.
The setup stops after trying to stop the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant Service.:-The following error was encountered.The requested control is not valid for this service.ID no:0xc002041c

Can anybody help, I am trying to install to a small LAN with an NT 4.0 PDC and have added the WIN2000 server to the domain.I think its something to do with the exchange service account.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you trying to install it on the win2k box or the NT box? Is the box your installing it too a DC?

Thanks to both of you for your help.
Managed to get it installed, was using the typical setup option.
