Hi all, I really hope you can help.
For some reason not all Microsft Exchange services start.

Event service
Information Store
Internet mail services

ALL fail to start.

Event viewer indicates the following problem:

Event ID : 7001

The Microsoft Exchange Internet Mail Service service depends on the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service which failed to start because of the following error:
The service has returned a service-specific error code.

Have tried simple things like restarting services rebooting, and I also can't find any reference on the Microsoft support page.

Please please help

Check that you are not low on hard disk space.
If you are check that the exchange logs have not grown to massive sizes, if they have delete them and the services should then restart

Microsoft has a Q article on this exact error, by you don't indicate if you use Small Business Server of Backoffice. Hope this helps:

SYMPTOMS
========

You cannot start the Exchange Server services after you restart the computer.
You may see several event ID 7001 messages in the System log that are similar to
the following error:

Event ID: 7001
Source: Service Control Manager
Type: Error
Category: None

The Microsoft Exchange Information Store Service depends on the Microsoft
Exchange System Attendant service which failed to start because of the
following error %%0

CAUSE
=====

This behavior may occur if the server that is running Small Business Server
(SBS) is no longer the Global Catalog (GC) server, or the GC server is
unavailable. By default, SBS is the GC server.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this behavior, verify that the SBS server or that a domain controller
is the GC server:

1. In Active Directory Sites and Services, expand the Default-First-Site-Name
node.

2. Expand the servers node, and then expand the SBS server name node.

3. Right-click NTDS Settings, and then click Properties.

4. Click to select the Global Catalog check box.

This role may be present on another domain controller in the domain. If this is
the case, verify that the GC selection exists, and that the server is available
on the network.

Also beware of just deleting log file without a full backup before and after, you will not be able to restore properly if you interrupt the sequence of the logs.
