Exchange 5.5 restore question. I need help!!!

I have an exchange server 5.5 in production. some how

a public foldere was deleted. I need to know if I can

restore to a different server, same org and site name

then save the public folder as a pst then import it to my

outlook client then copy it back out to the orginal public

folder. Is this possible and if so what suggestions do I

need to do to accomplish this restore successfully.
