Help!

I currently have Exchange 5.5 server running on accross two sites as follows:

Site1 Exchange 5.5 Enterprise (SP4) on Windows NT4 Server (SP6a)(PDC)
Site2 Exchange 5.5 Enterprise (SP4) on Windows NT4 Server (SP6a)(BDC)

I have added a second Exchange box in Site2, this is as follows:

Exchange 5.5 Enterprise (SP4) on Windows 2000 Server (SP4)(Domain Member)

The probelm is that when using Enterpsie manager from the Windows 2000 server I can communicate with oth Site2 server but get an error when conecting to Site1 server.

DS_E_COMMUNICATIONS_PROBLEM

However when connecting from NT4 Exchange 5.5 server in Site2 to Site1 server this works fine.

Also intersite communications directly between Site1 and Site2 Windows 2000 server don't work either.

I am using x400 with TCP/IP (not TP4)

Thanks

Encryption level mismatches might be part of your problem. The server that you can't connect to may be running at 56-bit encryption and the W2K host might not be able to do the downgrade. Did you run the Security Rollup on one of the DC's but not the other?

See the following KB article:
Also, are you logging on to all three systems with the same account?
