Hi,
I'm currently running Exchange 5.5 on Windows NT 4 server (domain
controller) and wish to upgrade this to Exchange 2000 on a new Dell server.
Currently, we have 4 Domain Controllers in our network, the first one is
described as above and the 3 other one is running W2K. I'm reading MS
Knowledge Base Q316886 for help. One of the preliminary step (method 1 from
documentation) in upgrading to Exchange 2000 is firstly "migrate the user
accounts to Microsoft Windows 2000 AD" and the preferred method is to upgrade
the Windows NT 4 server to Windows 2000 controller.
What I want to know here is do I have to upgrade my Windows NT server to
2000? At the moment, my NT Server wunning Exchange 5.5 is a BDC not a PDC.
Does it make any difference?
Also, according to the instructions from the note, I can't find the
"Consistency Adjuster" under my Exchange 5.5? Is there a reason why?
thanks advance for your help
