exchange 5.5 mail access through router/leased line

Our exchange server 5.5 is currently configured to use a 128KB ISDN TA modem to Dialup our ISP for external email (set to dialup every 15 minutes)

We are changing soon to a 256KB leased line using a router.

If anyone could help me with information on what settings and where in Exchange 5.5 need to be changed to use the router/leased line to access external mail (we will also be keeping the dialup ISDN line as a backup)
