I have read that the optimum SCSI Disk configuration for an Exchange server is:
2 sets of RAID 1 mirrored drives. First set for the OS, the second set for the transaction logs and paging file.
1 set RAID 5 drives for the Information Store.
My Compaq reseller has specified my Company a new server, which will be a dedicated Exchange server with a disk configuration of 5 x 18.2 GB SCSI HDD,s in a single RAID 5 Array.
Is this configuration viable for an Exchange server?
Thanks
Richard
