Exchange 5.5 coexisting with Groupwise 5. Messages are coming through Groupwise 5. Exchange 5.5 using Groupwise as a connector.

I'm unble to reply to external email messages. When replying to the message receiving the error message

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

[Domain.com].user on 1/4/01 9:52 AM
The recipient name is not recognized

However, when replying in the original is showing <user@domain.com>
Any ideas???

( I also cross posted this in the Exchange forum here at Tek-Tips)

Is your Exchange server in a GW foreign domain? Are you using the GW-Exchange gateway? Are your GW links setup in the GW View from within NWAdmin?

I have a layout with GW as the main email & Exchange at one site. It has been up for 2 years with no problems but has to be configured right in the begining.

If you can answer these questions I will try to help.

Mark ;-)

I have Groupwise 5.5e connected to Exchange 5.5 sp3 via the Groupwise Gateway also. Are you a secondary domain in Groupwise? The instructions that come with the connector don't remind you (I think) to open up the link config in Groupwise and set the Exchange to Groupwise link. Let me know if you think that's what it is and I'll help.
