Hello,
I just got Exchange 5.5, and installed it. But, since I have never worked with it before, I do not know how to properly setup accounts for users of my current web site. I'm useing Windows 2000 Server, IIS 5, and now Exchange server software 5.5.

All I want is to set them up smtp accounts for them to send and receive mail through micrsoft outlook or outlook express. If anyone could give me a few quick pointers on how to setup user's accounts to be able to send and receive via pop3 and/or smtp, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

Before you could install Exchange 5.5, you need to setup your Active Directory Service on Windows 2000 Server, next install your Exchange 5.5, remember to download the Service Pack, i believe the latest one is SP4. This will resolve any compatibility issues between Windows 2000 Server and Outlook Web Access.

Hope this helps!

There is like, 10 downloads or so for the service pack. Am I supposed to download all of them and install all of them, or only certain ones?

Just install service pack 4...........it has everything from the previous service packs.

Also I believe there is a hotfix for your IIS 5.....a hot fix to protect against the backdoor.sadmind virus.

Hope this helps
