Hello,
I'm the administrator of a small network (300 clients). The network consists of 3 domain controllers and 2 exchange servers. Two of the domain controllers are running w2k service pack 4. Both of the exchange servers are running 5.5. One of the exchange servers is an nt4 box that is also a domain controller. The other exchange server (the one with the problem) is running w2k server service pack 4 and exchange 5.5. I received a call last week informing me that someone had lost an email. After some investigation I located the lost email in sent items but realized the reason that it was "lost" is because the date that it was sent out was incorrect. The email that was actually sent out August 30 was dated August 23. I located the server that the clients mailbox was on and checked the event logs. Sure enough the time on the server had gone back a week for a short period of time (hard to say from the data but the server probably went back to the future for only a few hours and then corrected itself). I checked all the other domain controllers and exchange servers and they seemed to have remained in the present. Does anyone have any idea what may have caused this and how it might be corrected?
Thanks
Darth
