Exchange 5.5 and Active Directory

Hi,

Hope someone can help.
I am looking to upgrade our NT4 PDC to Windows 2000 Server soon.
We have a dedicated NT4 server running Exchange 5.5
After we upgrade our PDC to Windows 2000 do I need to set up some sort of connection between Active Directory and the exchange server?
How do I go about doing this?

I did an upgrade on a server from NT4 to 2000. Exchange was then not starting. So I made it a PDC and installed active directory and it ran just like it was on NT4 with no problems. Just go ahead and upgrade, exchange will not function but once you install Active Directory it will come right up and function as normal.

whtechgroup, I am just curious, why exchange did not start after nt4 -> 2000 upgrade?
