If there are two mailboxes in different sites A & B both having the same internet mail address "<A HREF="mailto:user@myco.com">user@myco.com</A>", then all incoming smtp mails to <A HREF="mailto:user@myco.com">user@myco.com</A> will be delivered to the mailbox in the site A or site B?<br><br>The problem I want to ask is: if a mailbox is moved from site A to site B and the old mailbox at site A will be kept for some time, is it possible for IMS at site C to route all smtp mail to correct mailbox at site B? (For the case of both new and old mailbox having the same smtp address.) Or only setting-up smtp address at new mailbox is possible for routing smtp mail?<br><br>PS. All exchange servers in all sites are Exchange 5.5 SP2.<br><br>Regards,<br>Woo<br>


 
Exchange will not allow duplicate SMTP address in the same organization. Users sending to the address get the error “The recipient name is ambiguous.”<br><br>If you wish to keep the mail account you could remove the SMTP address form the E-mail Addresses tab under the user's properties for the old account.<br>
