Hi guys,

Just running through a setup of Exchange 2007 for the first time and got to the Mail Flow Settings part. Now not sure what to do here?

A little background, I am installing Exchange 2007 into an environment that already has Exchange 2003 server, I wish to migrate to Exchange 2007 only. However I will need to migrate the mailboxes across but the new Exchange 2007 Server is in a totally different IP address range and will have access to different external firewall.

Any help most appreciated and if you have any questions for me...ask away!

You will need to start by integrating the 2007 into the 2003 site. Mail will still flow through the 2003 server. Then you can move the mailboxes, again mail will still flow through the 2003 server. Finally you will need to set your send connectors to point to the firewall and point the MS to the new firewall public IP which shoudl be NATed over to the 2007 server.

The following 3 part article should assist you.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
