Hi All,

I’m looking for a way to see if our exchange server is under any load or if any bottle necks are occurring. We have 150 users each with a 1.5Gb mailbox limit (10mb mail inbound \ outbound limit)

We currently run bes 5 with 20 users but would like to increase to 40 users. I know BES places a heavy load on exchange, what’s the best way to monitor this?

We are currently running exchange 2007 Sp2 on the following hardware

Dell Sever
Windows 2008 64 bit
Dual Xeon E5520 2.26Ghz processor
16gb Ram

Hdds are configured as follows

2 x 146gb sas Mirrored for the os (local on the server)

Attached to a PV MD 3000 external Sas Raid array

2 x 146Gb sas 15k for the Logs (raid 1)
6 x 300gb sas 15k Raid 10 drives for the database store

Many Thanks

We keep BES seperate as Exchange tends to prefer to grab all the resources and is really not very happy with other programs attempting to co-habit. It's also a handy demarcation point as you can understand BES and be safe working on the server without getting near Exchange.

Sorry should have said, BES is installed on a seperate server and running on SQL 2005
