I've just upgraded to Exchange 2007 and it appears as though the GAL's have user accounts included in them as well. Ie. Accounts I have set up in AD that DO NOT have a mailbox associated with them.

I know how to hide a mailbox from GAL, but how do you hide a normal account. More to the point, why the hell is Exchange including a normal AD account in the GAL when no mailbox is attached to that account?

Any ideas?

That should not be possible. Have you verified that the accounts still don't have mail attributes associated with them?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
