Greetings,

We are currently running Server2003 with exchange 2003. We are about to set up SBS 2008, with Exchange 2007 on it.
Is there a way to export the Exchange "First organization" information to the SBS 2008 First Organization?
The goal is to export all the mailboxes and information to the new server.

Any step by step documentation? Anything to be aware?

Thanks,
Theo

I just did this very migration a couple of months ago. Here is the documentation that I reviewed. This very similar to a SBS2003 to SBS2008. You can still install SBS2008 in migration mode. I can't remember any big gotcha's on it. It worked pretty well for me. But here are the docs:

Thank you a bunch. I'll start the migration this weekend. I guess Standard windows server 2003 or sbs 2003 have very similar process.

Best Regards,

Theo

Yes they are similar. Except there are some limitations set in SBS 2003 in order to prevent it from being used in an enterprise type environment. It is limited to 75 users, must hold FSMO roles and the Exchange installation. Domain trust cannot be built nor can you have any other child domains. Besides those limitations and probably a few others that I didn't think of, functionality is basically the same as standard 2003 server.
