Hello All,
One of my customers had a problem with a corrupted registry hive that prevented the server from booting. The vendor suggested that a resolution was to restore the system state from a backup that was around a month old. After the restore, the server booted fine but now there is a problem with the Exchange System Attendant starting. The System Attendant is configured to use the local system account. There is a related entry in the event log.
This event shows up in the Applications event log.
Event ID 1005
Unexpected error: Logon failure: unknown username or bad password. Facility Win32 ID no 8007052e Microsoft Exchange System Attendant occurred.
AFAIK there are no problems with any other services loading and users can access the server without any problems.
I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Exchange but this problem persists.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
