hi,
it's possible to get some help about exchange 2003 and smtp relay?
this is my scenario go live in November 2005:
(at the moment our mailbox resides to the ISP)

one ech2003srv in lan
1 smtp relay in dmz (we use imss from trend)
1 pop3 in dmz (we use imss from trend)
the goal it's keep outside the smtp relay server(w2003) and configure

exch2003 to relay external mail to the smtp relay server.
Configure the smtp in dmz to permit relay only from the exch2003
(everithing configured,tested and work fine)

for internal user they, in a first moment, they will continue to use
theirs outlook express pop3 to receive mails trough the exch2003
as the same for the smtp they will point to the exch2003
the smtp connector it's configured to premit relay only for authenticated users
the client are configured with authentication (WIndows integrated) for pop3 and smtp
the mx record point to the smtp in dmz and
and the external clients download theirs mail from the pop3 in dmz

but here the problem.... I have many external users that require send theyrs e-mails and they must use outlook express( not OWA)
they must have the same client configuration as when they are in lan:
pop3 mail.domain.com
smtp mail.domain.com
how can i set my dmz smtp scenario, maintaining the relay restrictions?
as you see for security problem my smtp in dmz relay mail only from the exch2003

thanks to everybody wants help me
