I have installed Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows Server with the Agent
for Microsoft Exchange Server on a Windows 2003 Server and Microsoft
Exchange 2003 Enterprise Server.
I have created Backup Exec logon account with the credentials of a user account that has local administrator rights. This user have exchange administrator role in the user account of the Administrative group level where the mailboxes and public folders are and I have created a
mailbox with the same name as the Backup exec logon account user (the
same user who have administrator role in the Exchange organization).
When I make a full backup the mailboxes are copied but the transaction log files(.log) are not deleted. Could you please help me?

Thank you

You need to take a full backup of the information store - this will then truncate the logs.

what you are doing is just doing mailbox or brick level backups.

The information store backup on a scale of backup importance, 1 below low, 10 being high, rate 10, mailbox backups 1.

Your help is much appreciated.
When I define a new a backup job I can only select the Microsoft Exchange mailboxes and public folders, could you tell me how can I select the information stores?, I can only see the mailboxes.

Thank you.
