Exchange 2003 Recall Deleted Email

I have a user that sent out a "sensative" email sometime within the last few months. The user has deleted the item from sent items and from the deleted items. Is there a way i can recover the email from the exchange server?

Hi,

It depends on your rentention periods. (deletion settings on your mailbox store)

If you are using Outlook client, select the deleted items folder and click TOOLS > RECOVER DELETED ITEMS

The email may still be available for recovery.

Failing that, if you have a removable backup going back that far you can restore the mailbox to a secondary/temporary exchange installation. If you have the resources.
