Hi

I have been asked to create a PST server to hold a number for PST file to allow a number of staff to archive their mailboxes to a central location. The Exchange consists of a number of Exchange 2003 servers in a Cluster and the client are Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007

Has anyone created such a server?

Is it possible to allow the more than one person access to the PST file at the same time? Many mailboxes owners have other staff that may need access to it

Does anyone have other considerat5ions or advice on such an undertaken?

Thanks

PST files are not supported on network drive as bad things may happen. They are nearly also impossible to backup once they get sizable due the most backup systems viewing a touched pst file as a new file.

Pretty sure PST files are single user only.

If you company is sizable its probibly worthwhile investing in some archiving software.
