It started about 2 months ago....every now and then the mail server is "down": the server itself (Win 2003) is up (pingable) but locked out. Cannot log in even with the administrator account. I have to shut the server down manually. When it comes back up, the logs are littered with events 8026 & 8260 (in Application), 439 & 490 (in Directory) and 419 (in System).
I read through the recommendations on how to deal with the above event ids, but it doesn't seem to work. All seems fine (no alerts in event viewer) for a day or two, and then it happens again.
Any ideas or recommendations are really appreciated as I am puzzled by this occurence.
