Hi guys,
I was wondering whether you can help me with a migration issue.

We have an exchange server 2003 running on a Windows 2000 server machine. We are building new servers to replace the existing ones. We have exchange 2003 installed (also running on windows 2000 server machine) on one of the new servers, and full trust between the 2 domains. Using ADMT we have migrated all our existing AD accounts to the new domain. How can we migrate their corresponding mailboxes?

Thanks

Have you looked into the Exchange migration tool? (Not Exmerge).

Although Exmerge would work fine for you mailboxes, you'd have to copy the Public Folders to a mailbox and export it.

Also - I'm curious as why the new servers weren't added to the existing AD domain?

You can also use third party tools. We are currently doing an Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 migration using Quest EMW. For Exchange 200x to Exchange 200x you would use QMM.

EMW = Exchange Migration Wizard
QMM = Quest Migration Manager

Thanks Pat and Steve and scott.
like i mentioned before, we are redesigning our network, that's why the new servers could not be added to the old one. and some programs that we run are so old that we have to keep the same names for the new machines.
