Exchange 2003 incorrectly reporting mailbox size

Hi all

I have a problem with our Exchange server. It seems that we have differences in the reported size of some mailboxes between the Exchange server and Outlook. We have some mailboxes where the size diference is as much as 30MB. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? we have already run esutil and isinteg and these removed some corruption but the problem remains. It is starting to become a real issue as some mailboxes are being reported as over their storage limit and prohibiting sending even after the user has cleaned out their mailbox.

You're likely seeing the Single Instance Store data in ESM, and not in Outlook. If you were to Exmerge the mail out of the mailbox, you'd likely end up with something closer to the Outlook total.
