Exchange 2003 in mixed environment sends mail through IMS

I have an exchange 5.5 server that is in the process of being migrated to a parallel 2003 exchange server. Users that are on the 2003 exchange server have their mail go through the 5.5 IMS. How can I make all users on the 2003 server use its SMTP for outbound email instead of routing through the 5.5 server?
