Exchange 2003 Calendar restore problem with CommVault

We are using CommVault 8.0 SP4 but have the same problem since CommVault 6.1. We can restore simple Exchange 2003 Calendar folders with no problems. When we try to restore either a Calendar or Task folder that has a repeating event, we will get duplicated calendar events and task events. If the restore goes back to when the event was created, no problem. If the user requests yesterdays calendar restore and the repeating event was created months ago, then the problem arises. Has anybody else experienced this and is there a way around it? CommVault support has been no help.
