Exchange 2003 - advice on bulk emails

Hi

A department needs to send emails bulk emails out via our Exchange 2003 cluster. Unfortunately, these emails cannot be scheduled and I am trying to avoid a performance impact on the servers.

Does anyone have any advice or recommendations?

The only way I can think of to do this is by creating a script that would email in bunches.
