I am a Tech at a school and we are beginning a small rollout of Exchange currently all 1000 staff have email boxes on a POP3 server. We have an MX record for our domain and all mail is delivered to the POP3 box in our DMZ. We can't switch everyone over yet our Win2K network needs to be tested further before the full rollout. So, right now no mail is being delivered to the Exchange server, but we can send mail through the server. We have just gotten an additional MX record and want to send and receive mail through our Exchange server but it isn't working. The server is behind a firewall with nothing blocking SMTP traffic from it's IP (but it has an non-public domain name) we thought we could setup a virtual server or an SMTP connector to accomplish what we want but nothing has worked yet. We have one Exchange server no front end and have only run Exchange 2000.
Thanks for any help you can give us.
