I am trying to setup exchange 2000 server for the first time. I can actually send messages from the domain but I am unable to recieve them..Users get:

An error occured while delivering this message. <email address here>
The error is stated below:
550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for <email address here>

Please help...

is your exchange server the pop3 server and is the email that you are trying to send internal to exchange organization or external. If you go to system manager for exchange 2000 under protocol section for POP3 it will show you mail restrictions for relaying email out.

Sounds like a router in the way. Allow the router IP to relay for your domain on SMTP Virtual Server. Dan
