IS-IT--Management
I have a question about administering Exchange 2000 on a Windows 2000 Pro workstation. I have Exchange Server installed on a secondary domain controller.
I have the Admin Tools installed on my workstation and have administrator permissions so that's not the problem. I put in the Exchange 2000 Server disk and chose "Custom" for the parent, and "Install" for Management Tools. The result was that I did get a program group with "Active Directory Users and Computers" that works, and I got a copy of "System Manager." That part is good...
However, when I enter System Manager, I have only two things in the menu on the left: Recipients and Tools. And when I click on either of those I get the error: "An invalid ADSI pathname was passed. ID no: 80005000 Exchange System Manager" and then I immediate get a second error: "An operations error occurred. Facility: LDAP Provider ID no: 80072020."
Anyone else have a similar problem? Anyone know what I did wrong or am forgetting? Any help or comments are appreciated.
