Yesterday (May 2nd), our ISP was having troulbes from 11am to 4pm. Our Internet and Email was down for about 5 hours.
My question is, If I was trying to send an email, lets say at 12pm, would it sit in the Outbound queue until a connection was made??
Reason why I say this is, I tried to send an email (external) while our ISP was down, but I got a reply back right away saying that my message didn't reach the intended person.
I thought that they would sit in the queue until a connection was made. Apparently not. Is there a configuration that I need to set so that the message would sit there, 2 hours later have it try again. If not, wait 2 hours again until the max time (lets say 24hours) is reached and THEN send an undeliverable message.
Thanks
