Exchange 2000 on 64bit processor

I'm needing to upgrade my Exchange server but its looking like I won't get to upgrade both Exchange and the hardware. I've been quote an HP Xeon Quad processor with 64-bit Computing.

Can windows 2000/exchange 2000 run on a system with 64 bit processing? Reseller says yes but I want to double check.

Yes. You install Windows 32 bit and it runs fine on 64 bit.

Exchange4 2000 runs on 32 bit windows. If you install 32 bit windows on a 64 bit box, it works.
