we are using Exchange Instant Messaging on Windows 2000 and NT machines connected to an Exchange 2000 server with SP2. The Messenger version is 4.6.0082.

The problem is that peoples' statuses do not update automatically. So if someone comes offline, online, away etc this is not shown on the other Messenger lists. The only way to show it and refresh the list is by signing out and signing back in again.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so do they know of a fix for this.

thanks

Hi Stuartp,

I have a question for you. I just created an Instant Messaging home server, enable it for user in AD and install MSN Messenger but cannot log on? What did I wrong? Where can I find more manuals for this case?

Thanks
