I have a windows 2000 server w/ SP4 installed. We just upgraded from Exchange 5.5 to 2000.
After the install is finished, the Information Store service (and all other dependent services) will not start. When I try to manually start the Store service I get the following error:
Could not start the Microsoft Exchange Information Store on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
Any insight as to why we are having this problem would be greatly appreciated, as we can neither send nor receive e-mail at this point in time.
