Here's the scenario...
I have a Windows 2003 forest "old.com" running Exchange 2000. We as an IT Department decided to build from scratch a new domain called "new.com" and run Exchange 2007. I do not want to migrate our entire company in one night or weekend, and therefore need both environments to run side by side which means that mail needs to work in both forests for our one external domain name.
The idea is to migrate small groups of users (like 5 at a time) into the new forest, set them up on the new exchange server and move on to the next group...I just don't get how to do mail part from here...
Here's what I have so far:
-- Trust Relationship between the 2 forests (Confirmed working and functional)
-- Exchange 2007 is installed but not configured
-- ADMT 3.1 is installed and working (I've tested moving users only. It will not move mailboxes for some reason)
Does anyone know of a good way to do this? I know it's a short post without a lot of detail, but any help on this would be great.
